Elijah Dillehay is a New York City based performer, teacher, and proud cat dad. He hails originally from the tiny farming community of Defeated Creek, TN. Elijah began his arts training at the age of seven first in music. Requested by his mother, private piano lessons began soon to be followed by trumpet, oboe, and voice lessons. Dance and theatre first came into his life through High School band and musical theatre productions. He studied briefly at Middle Tennessee State University before diving head first into the ballet world at Nashville Ballet. Elijah later graduated summa cum laude from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance. While at the Boston Conservatory, Elijah performed work by Mark Morris, Danny Pelzig, Danny Buraczeski, Cathy Young, and Andrea Miller. Some of his professional performance credits include Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (1st National Tour), Dance Lab NY (spring 2020), Grease (RCCL), Nutcracker (Nashville Ballet), and NC17 (Red Sky Studios). During his free time Elijah enjoys playing piano, laughing with friends, and cuddling his favorite feline, Gio.

200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

September 26, 2020

I'm becoming a certified yoga teacher! We all know that working in the Arts is on hold for the foreseeable future. So, I've decided to use this time to learn more about something I've always loved. Yoga as a physical practice has been a part of my dance training and life for several years now. I'm super excited to learn more and gain the tools to teach and share yoga with others. I will be receiving my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training from Sonic Yoga located in NYC.
