ABOUT

Elijah Dillehay is a New York City based performer, teacher, and proud cat dad. He hails originally from the tiny farming community of Defeated Creek, TN. Elijah began his arts training at the age of seven first in music. Requested by his mother, private piano lessons began soon to be followed by trumpet, oboe, and voice lessons. Dance and theatre first came into his life through High School band and musical theatre productions. He studied briefly at Middle Tennessee State University before diving head first into the ballet world at Nashville Ballet. Elijah later graduated summa cum laude from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance. While at the Boston Conservatory, Elijah performed work by Mark Morris, Danny Pelzig, Danny Buraczeski, Cathy Young, and Andrea Miller. Some of his professional performance credits include Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (1st National Tour), Dance Lab NY (spring 2020), Grease (RCCL), Nutcracker (Nashville Ballet), and NC17 (Red Sky Studios). During his free time Elijah enjoys playing piano, laughing with friends, and cuddling his favorite feline, Gio.

Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

August 13, 2018

Look MOM, I did it! I am ecstatic to be a part of the first national tour of the Broadway show: Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; cast as swing, understudy Mike Teavee and Augustus Gloop. This is a 'first' for me in a lot of aspects: first national tour, first equity contract, first time being a swing, and first time understudying two principal roles. I am so grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to share this incredible show!
