Elijah Dillehay is a New York City based performer, teacher, and proud cat dad. He hails originally from the tiny farming community of Defeated Creek, TN. Elijah began his arts training at the age of seven first in music. Requested by his mother, private piano lessons began soon to be followed by trumpet, oboe, and voice lessons. Dance and theatre first came into his life through High School band and musical theatre productions. He studied briefly at Middle Tennessee State University before diving head first into the ballet world at Nashville Ballet. Elijah later graduated summa cum laude from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance. While at the Boston Conservatory, Elijah performed work by Mark Morris, Uri Sands, Danny Pelzig, Danny Buraczeski, Cathy Young, and Andrea Miller. Some of his professional performance credits include Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (1st National Tour), Grease (RCCL), West Side Story (Opera North), Nutcracker (Nashville Ballet), and NC17 (Red Sky Studios). During his free time, Elijah enjoys yoga, searching for the best plant based cheese, and playing with his favorite feline, Gio.
